When a runner matches a pattern with a proven forward record it becomes the play and goes in the public ledger before the race.

Every runner at a rated WA meeting gets a win chance from RaceAlpha's model, a run-style flag from sectional times we time ourselves, and an ELO rating. A play is only published when a runner matches a betting pattern that held up on races the model had never seen. Most races have no play, and the ratings stand on their own.
Ratings land mid-morning AEST on race day. A play is logged to the public ledger with its price and time before the race and graded after it. Free visitors see the play once the race has run; members see it when it is logged.
